As we work toward a successful year in 2008, it is clear that New York’s Republican Party has come a long way during 2007. With tremendous victories for Republicans in the Erie, Onondaga, Oneida, Dutchess and Monroe County Executive races and close races in other localities, it is clear the 2007 elections were a positive turning point in our efforts to rebuild and revitalize the Republican Party across New York State.
Republicans saw very positive feedback from the voters across the state, because we ran quality candidates who listened to the people and promised to fight for the things they need—tax relief, job creation, commonsense criminal justice measures and world-class education and health care systems to maintain our quality of life.
The 2007 elections were an embrace of Republican candidates and ideals.
The people of New York today made their voices heard and supported Republicans, because they need solutions to their problems. They supported Republicans because our candidates presented the ideas and the vision needed to put New York back on the right track.
The elections of 2007 were another significant step forward in New York’s Republican renaissance, but we will not stop here. The newly elected Republicans are joining others already in office to work hard and deliver the real results people deserve. Those efforts will lead to an even more successful year for New Yorkers, and Republicans, in 2008.
